Welcome to the Sector

Greetings, capsuleer. You've drifted into the personal corner of the internet belonging to Novacide — a veteran pilot of New Eden and lifelong student of the cosmos.

This site is a tribute to two great loves: the cold, infinite beauty of real space, and the sprawling, cutthroat sandbox universe of EVE Online. Whether you're a fellow capsuleer, an astronomy nerd, or just a lost visitor, make yourself at home.

Here you'll find ship fittings, kill records, space photography, astrophysics rabbit holes, and whatever else I feel like rambling about. It's my little piece of the internet. No algorithms. No feeds. Just a dude, some HTML, and the stars.

Hit 1,000 kills on zKillboard
Four years of hunting, and the counter finally ticked over. Threw a solo bomber kill to celebrate. Gonna do a writeup on my top 10 fav kills eventually.

Betelgeuse Update: It's Still There (For Now)
Latest photometry data out of the AAVSO suggests Betelgeuse is entering another potential dimming phase. Added a link in the Astronomy section. That star is gonna blow someday and I want front row seats.

New Fitting: "Ghost Protocol" Manticore Build
Worked out a new bomber fit that's been wrecking in lowsec. Planning a full page on the ship hangar section once it's up. Stay tuned.
Space Of The Week
[ OBJECT OF THE WEEK ]
NGC 7293 — HELIX NEBULA
Located ~650 light-years away in Aquarius, the Helix Nebula is one of the closest planetary nebulae to Earth. Its eerie "Eye of God" appearance comes from shells of gas ejected by a dying star. The white dwarf at its center was once a star much like our Sun.

Distance: ~650 ly  |  Type: Planetary Nebula
